| We worked with a contractor to build
this media room. Retro conversions are a little more
complex than new construction. And, this project ran
very smooth. At the time of these photos furniture
had not been selected.

The screen and stage with left, right and center
speakers. Below are the vents for dual subwoofers.

We crafted custom
subwoofer vents to match the mesh grills and trim of
the other five wall-mount speakers. As an option, we
can dye grills and vents to match the surrounding
finish.

Rear fill speakers next to air vents.
A custom shroud covers
the projector, its mounting and wiring. Mesh screens
and the larger dimensions ensure that cooling is not
inhibited. The shroud is finished to match the wall
treatment.

Double doors lead into
the storage closet that contains the electronics.

Inside the closet a
rolling equipment cabinet houses the audio/video
receiver, subwoofer amplifier, filtered power supply
and source electronics.

The cabinet rolls out for service access and exposes
a custom wallmount panel.

Overhead lighting.

Step lighting and
strategically located AC outlets for future
furnishings.
This LCD remote operates all audio/video functions
and allows full remote lighting control and dimming
via this wall mounted multi-zone electronic light
controller.
LCD screen in adjoining exercise room.
The infrared target provides full control over the
concealed source electronics that are shared by the
theater room.

Photos of the project in progress show behind the
scenes structural measures and extra details. Every
wall and ceiling mount is backed up with a
structural ring. Every wire penetration is sealed.
Longterm serviceability and access is built into the
design.
