MARINE INSTRUMENTATION

To the left side of the helm console, we installed three control/display units. A Raymarine 10-inch color screen displays radar, sounder and coordinates obtained via the GPS navigation unit. Single, split or overlaying radar and chart screens can be selected.

A Raymarine hideaway sounder module processes signals received via a thru-hull brass transducer and displays vivid, colorful fishfinder images to the 10-inch screen.

A stand-alone Raymarine navigation unit receives GPS information from an antenna atop the radar arch. These coordinates can also be transmitted to a window on the 10-inch screen via Sea Talk.

An Interphase Twinscope forward scanning sonar provides two separate and unique horizontal and vertical perspectives under the waterline. Twin transducers are contained in a single thru-hull unit. These phase-array transducers constantly search for hidden hazards by sweeping a 12 degree beam across a 90 degree arc. The display shows live action of what is happening in front of the boat in very fine resolution.

Centered on the arch is a 48-inch 4KW open-array radar scanner. The motor pedestal is elevated on a ‘white’ powder-coated aluminum tower. A stainless steel extension pole places the mast light beyond the rotation of the scanner. To the port side is the GPS antenna.
