This is the second BAJA in two years that we’ve outfitted for this boat owner. Both boats were trailered from Oklahoma to our shop in Lewisville, Texas.

Factory Clarion XMD1 CD player.

In the glove box we added a trim plate that houses an iPod audio jack, 12 volt cigar receptacle and control switch for a hardwired FM modulator, given the fact that the XMD1 has no auxiliary input.

Digital display hardwired remote control at the helm.

Non-digital remote added to the transom.

Boston acoustics fan-cooled 5-channel amplifier drives eight 6 ½ -inch coaxils high-pass and two 10-inch subwoofers low-pass.

A custom trim panel cleanly terminates each cable as they pass through the bulkhead.

Two pair of Polk MOMO integral 6 ½-inch speakers at the helm. While an integral component speaker looks like a coaxil, in contrast it uses component level drivers and has a fully symmetrical high-order outboard crossover. Doubling up on the speakers at the front of the cockpit is a standard procedure. The demand on the speakers is greater when the driver and occupant are standing in the bolster chairs while moving at serious speeds.

Two more pair of Polk MOMO at the rear of the cockpit.

Dual JL Audio marine free-air subwoofers use the rear bench seat console as their enclosure.

The gelcoat / fiberglass wall is reinforced with an internal ¾ -inch birch panel, an important step in creating a rigid enough baffle for quality bass reproduction.
