CROWNLINE 260 LS with iPod, halogens, audio
system & LEDS.
An iPod station at the right hand side of
the dash. The snap in bracket grips the iPod securely and
releases with a press of a button. The iPod is controlled
via the Sony CD source unit and remote control.
A polished light bar contains seven chrome halogens, three
forward and four rear facing.
On the tower four Polk dB speakers in Bullet
pods. Acrylic light rings sport 33 blue LEDs each. The acrylic
is frosted to mute the individual diodes and create a more
continuous light ring. In order to smoothly transition from
a 7-inch O.D. speaker grill to an 8-inch pod, we used beveled
light rings. Oversized pods light balanced on this large
2 3/8 – inch tower. The black powdercoated pods contrast
the tower and reflect the black hull.
Polk coaxils in the bow with
blue courtesy lights projecting onto the drink holders.
Polk coaxils in the forward cockpit with blue courtesy lights
recessed in the coaming pockets.
Polk in the rear cockpit. The rear cockpit coaming pockets
and drink holders are also illuminated in blue. A digital
display remote control is added to the rear pass-through.
Blue courtesy light in the top of the mid-cockpit coaming
pockets.
Blue step lights in the bow.
Blue step lights at the rear of the cockpit.
Under the helm console a JL Audio 10 – inch marine
free-air subwoofer.
Behind the bow gul wing cushion two Boston Acoustics four-channel
amplifiers are revealed in a large locker. One of the fan-cooled
amplifiers is inverted in order to collect all wiring to
a single raceway. The wiring is protected from stored items
by a cover shroud. A thick birch baffle ring reinforces the
subwoofer mounting and is clad in marine-grade carpet. A
rigid mounting clearly improves bass performance. The ring
also serves to dress the woofer penetration.
