Is a Sight to Sea.

Our second tribal edition Supra received audio, video and full lighting treatment.

The Kenwood MP3 CD player features triple preamp outputs which translate into ‘front’ (all combing speakers), ‘rear’ (tower speakers) and dedicated subwoofer level control. The changer input is converted into a DVD theater sound input.

A DVD player is concealed behind this seat cushion. An on/off switch for the DC to AC inverter and the locker’s courtesy light are integrated into the custom vinyl-clad panel. The fan-cooled inverter and AC to DC LCD power supply are mounted behind the DVD.

An infrared target is installed in the righthand pocket for full control over the DVD player while concealed.

Behind the observer seat we installed an amp rack that contains two Boston Acoustics four-channel fan-cooled amplifiers. All wiring is concealed.

We added an Optima red top and blue top plus a dual-battery Perko switch.

20-inch LCD TV attaches to the tower. Family and friends can watch a movie from the sun pad or pull up chairs on the dock.

An optional 20 amp converter and AC inlet can provide power for entertainment all night long.

Another option provides a multi-source selector and wireless link to receive satellite TV from the slip.

The best part of the LCD package is the ease in which the LCD is removed for boating.

The super sturdy aluminum bracket is released with a single star bolt and slides off the tower leaving little evidence of the mount.

An industrial wax keeps the close tolerances sliding smoothly.

A quarter turn of the single 4-connector power molex plus a composite video RCA jack allows total removal in just seconds without any remaining cables.

Polk MOMO integral components in the bow. The passive crossover networks are mounted to sealed birch panels, which are mounted to the interior of the combing bolsters. A secure mounting ensures reliability.

Two pair of Polk MOMO integrals mounted in the cockpit for s total of six high-pass components in the body.

The adjustable tweeters can be aimed to place listeners precisely in the sweet spot.

Under the driver’s helm a Polk MOMO 12-inch subwoofer is loaded into a sealed enclosure. The enclosure and its mounts are covered by a birch façade clad in marine-grade carpet. The woofer is dressed in a black powder-coated aluminum grill. The tribal flame grill is milled to match the overhead tower scheme.

Also, the enclosures and façade are elevated off the deck in order to preserve the original leg room.

A black powder-coated tribal wing suspends six bullet pods from the tower. The wing’s internal raceway conceals all speaker and light wiring except for two small looms bridging the wing and tower.

The two collars are also powder-coated black to match the tower.

The six bullet pods are powder-coated in ‘red’ to match the hull. We employed a two-part process including a clear coat, which produces a wet look that pops.

We added four forward-facing halogen lamps to the front vertical tower rails.

Six rear-facing halogens were added across the rear horizontal rail. The ten halogen lamps require six heavy gauge conductors running through the tower plus three 40 amp relays and 8-gauge service routed directly to the battery. Each halogen bracket was welded directly to the tower prior to powder-coating. This produced a super-clean look eliminating collars, bars and bulky looms.

Two small down casting courtesy lights are barely noticeable under the tower but can flood the boat’s interior after dark.

A pair of step lights are concealed under the bow bolsters.

Another pair of step lights are recessed into the rear pockets that house speakers and drink holders.

We installed an under-dash panel that holds three marine switchers and a dimmer. Each marine switch receives a watertight boot. One 3-position switch controls the halogen lamps (front only, all off and all on). A second 3-position switch controls combinations of courtesy lights. A 2-position switch controls the light rings around the tower speakers and subwoofer.

At nightfall from a distance the red lights create a dramatic sunset.
