We
upgraded the CD player to a marinized Kenwood MP3 player with
dual preamp outputs and an input for hardwired remote controls.
A
JL Audio four-channel amplifier is elevated off the amp panel
for effective cooling. The amp panel is elevated off the deck
for isolation from water. We also vented the face of the locker
for better cooling.
Two pairs of Polk Audio separate components deliver the
volume.
A Polk MOMO 8-inch subwoofer on each side. The custom-built enclosures tightly
fit into the cavity behind the combing bolsters. The fiberglass-resin-coated
enclosures are elevated on polymer pads and mounted with aluminum bracketry.
The sub enclosures are covered in a mildew-free marine-grade carpet.
