The cockpit audio system was designed with a theme following the factory flames and colors.

Within a gallery cabinet a Clarion equalizer provides front to rear cockpit fade and a dedicated bass level control.

The primary benefit of the equalizer is a built-in six times seven volt line driver. This ensures a low noise floor and a boost in dynamic range.

Within the cabin a Boston Acoustics fan–cooled five-channel amplifier received a custom shroud. The amp shroud conceals all wiring. A polished aluminum flame grill dresses the opening that allows the amplifier to exchange air.

The shroud is covered in factory Baja silver vinyl that features a carbon fiber woven texture.

Factory installed one speaker high on the port side and one speaker low on the starboard side. To cover the hole on the port side we built a pair of combing bolsters clad in the matching red vinyl and trimmed in black piping.

At the front of the cockpit twin Polk MOMO separate components are set flush into red vinyl bolsters.
The silver and black MOMO colors tie into the factory color scheme perfectly.

The port side features a three-dimensional fiberglass pod that corrects for the angled combing and better aims the Polk speakers.

The six-piece Polk MOMO component speaker set contains two 6-1/2 inch mid-bass drivers, two 1-inch dome tweeters with angle-mount cups and two sophisticated passive crossover networks. We doubled up on the six-piece MOMO sets in the front of the cockpit where the power is needed most.

The MOMO integrals were used in the rear cockpit combing pockets. These speakers face the rear bench seat occupants.

The Polk MOMO 6-1/2 inch integral component set features a center-mounted tweeter with an external crossover.

A set of 10-inch polished aluminum flame grills allow the bass to vent from the rear bench seat console. The grills are powder-coated in a high gloss clear for protection against oxidation. The flames are trimmed with black acrylic rings. A stainless steel mesh is used behind the grills.

Two Polk MOMO 10-inch subwoofers are loaded in a waterproof, dual-chamber, down-firing, red polyurethane enclosure.

The rear seat console functions as an effective bandpass enclosure which promotes a commanding bass output. This system is powerful enough to be heard when traveling at high speed. The sound is especially musical considering its open-air. Speaker placement is a key element. System tuning (crossovers and gains) is critical.
