A
winter demonstrator for Marine Max, the Baja dealer. We’re
past the 35th anniversary flames edition, so with new graphics
on this year’s Baja we had to tweak our creative.

Factory
Clarion marine CD player on the port side with a digital-display
remote control at the driver’s helm. Second digital-display
remote on the transom.

Clarion
7-band equalizer in the cabin. The intended purpose of the
EQ is the built-in six times 7-volt line driver that unleashes
the music’s full dynamic range. A secondary benefit
is the 3-way zone control for fine tuning the balance (front
cockpit to rear cockpit to subwoofer).

A Boston Acoustics 5-channel amplifier has
dual power supplies to generate the reserves to drive twin
subs and six component speakers in a performance boat. |
| |
The
birch amp shroud is covered in a graphite carbon fiber
patterned vinyl. A polished and clearcoated aluminum grill
covers the fan-cooled amplifier still allowing air to circulate.
At the center a ¼-inch thick aluminum badge features
an engraved Baja logo and is powdercoated gloss black.
| |

High in the forward combing,
a pair of birch bolsters are wrapped in factory vinyl.
The bolsters sport a raised Baja logo and are trimmed
in black piping. |
| |

On
the starboard side two Polk MOMO separate components are
recessed in a custom bolster.
| |

On the port side we corrected the angle of the interior shell with
a three-dimensional fiberglass pod. As a result the twin pair of forward
cockpit speakers are symmetrical in their orientation. |
| |

Rear Polk MOMO integral speakers recessed in the combing pockets
and perfectly aimed at the rear bench seat occupants.
| |
Under the rear bench seat console a down
firing waterproof polyurethane enclosure contains two Polk MOMO 10-inch
subwoofers. The enclosure is mounted via aluminum bracketry and elevated
by polymer spacers.

Two custom grills allow the
bass radiation to freely vent. The six piece grills are
constructed from 1.) A black acrylic trim ring, 2.) A
stainless steel mesh, 3.) & 4.) two-piece polished
and clearcoated aluminum grill, 5.) A color-coded and
powdercoated raised aluminum graphic, and 6.)A black
powdercoated aluminum badge with an engraved Baja logo. |

LIGHTING |

The factory courtesy lights
were removed from the helm control switch. New interactive
control switches were installed in the top of both combing
pockets to put the control in the hands of the rear passengers.
Like hallway switches, either switch can turn on or off
both courtesy lights regardless of the alternate switch’s
position. |
| |
The factory helm courtesy light switch is converted
to control sixteen green LED light fixtures. |

| Down casting step lights
at the forward cockpit. |

Four step lights at the rear
cockpit along the bench seat. |
| |

Dual courtesy lights on each
side over the drink holders in the upper combing pockets. |
| |

A light bar on each side
illuminates the lower combing pockets. Each light bar
contains 24 LEDs. |

The engine compartment vents
are lit up with a watertight light bar under each of
four louvers. |
