Crownline 225 LPX
Maintaining a scheme consistent with this white boat, we used only
white
speakers. Polished aluminum tower pods and silver anodized board racks
brought accents to the black powder-coated tower. It’s a classy
combination.
The factory Sony CD player has all the necessary features and
options. We
can add a changer, iPod, satellite radio and more external sources.
Between the two rows of indash switches we added a bass controller
and a
line-level control for the tower speakers.
A concealed JL Audio six-channel amplifier drives four tower
speakers; four
cockpit speakers and a subwoofer while the front channels of the
source unit
drive the bow speakers.
On the tower a pair of twin polished aluminum Bullet pods sport four
Alpine
marine coaxils.
A pocket is sewn into each side of the boot that wraps up the bimini
top.
This allows the boot to conveniently wrap around the twin pods.
A pair of Alpine marine coaxils replaced the factory bow speakers.
A pair of Alpine marine coaxils replaced the factory speakers under
the
bench seat at the rear of the cockpit.
We added a pair of Alpine marine coaxils to the driver and observer
consoles. This new location is the most important position on the
boat. With
an isolated but large enclosure, in-your-face positioning, and
reinforcing
planes surrounding the speakers, these speakers constitute the
majority of
the audible mids and highs when traveling across the water at high
speeds.
Definitely heard but not seen, a bass-reflex subwoofer delivers the
lower
registers with plenty of authority.
Shown are the chrome step lights that cast a blue hue over the bow
drink
holders.
Four courtesy lights are concealed behind the cockpit’s combing
bolsters.
Each is directed to flood blue light onto drink holders that are
positioned
under the combing pockets. In the evening a soft blue glow extends
throughout the boat’s interior.
Custom heat-formed ABS brackets mount the courtesy lights. But, the
LED
fixtures can’t be seen.
Up and under the bolsters on each side of the cockpit, concealed
switches
control the courtesy light package. Since the two switches work in
conjunction the lights can be activated or deactivated from both sides
regardless of the position of the opposing switch.
EARMARK provides a wide array of lighting options for your boat or
slip.
