All that glitters is chrome. We
added two tower speakers, a six-lamp light bar and a pair of
wakeboard racks. This package is also available with a chrome
four-speaker, five-lamp combo.
Four lamps are directed forward with two rear-facing lamps.
MB Quart 6 1/2-inch coaxials project out to wakeboarders
in tow or just to those relaxing behind the swim deck.
It’s all in the details and we’re
very particular about our installations.
The location for a 3-position control switch to operate
the lights in the “Front Only” / “All Off”
/ “All On” mode.
Since a light bar can pull close to 30 amps, it’s important
to switch dual relays rather than using the switch to handle
the current. Also, a dedicated power and ground line runs
directly to the battery.
An Alpine four-channel
amplifier drives stereo tower speakers plus a single subwoofer.
A Bazooka marine bass-reflex subwoofer is attached via
two aluminum rings and birch plywood overhead reinforcement.
The subwoofer and amplifier are totally hidden from view.
In another Select a chromed quad speaker and light
combo was chosen. Two overhead red LED spots cast light downward
and are wired into the courtesy light circuit. Three forward
and two rear-facing halogen lamps show the course ahead and
the wakeboarder in tow.
Also shown here on another Sea Ray Select is a
pair of chrome speaker enclosures with a combination light bar.
On a similar Sea Ray a pair of bullet shaped enclosures
feature a high-gloss polished finish. Off-the-shelf versions
are available in polished, black or white powdercoated. Also,
custom powdercoating is available to match the tower or hull.
