The second system in a nearly
identical boat to replace the dealer demonstrator sold
too quickly. This boat has a few extras for the boat
show. |
| |
A
Sharpvision 20-inch LCD TV mounts to the port side wakeboard
tower.
| |

Quick-disconnect
composite RCA and power molex.
| |

The
powdercoated aluminum bracket features four separate swivel points
to adapt to any tower mount and to compensate for any compound angle.
| |

Two
star bolts remove the entire LCD and mount leaving only collars. No
tools are needed to remove and reinstall.
| |

We
also powdercoated the factory cargo top collars to run consistent
with our blacked-out collar scheme. This tends to streamline the tower.
| |
Within
the port side locker we installed a DVD player, 10-amp charger/power
supply, CD changer and DC to AC inverter. The exposed rocker switch
controls the concealed inverter, which supplies AC to the LCD TV.
The charger allows continuous use without drain while in the boathouse
slip.
| |

An
inverted AC receptacle in the rear port storage compartment allows
for easy hook-up to a standard 15 amp extension cord and service.
Factory
CD receiver in the glove compartment. A multi-changer adapter provides
the extra inputs for CD changer and DVD player. The DVD player features
a front panel game port for a Playstation or other electronic game.
| |

Helm
and transom digital display hardwired remote controls.
| |
An infrared target in the top of the portside combing
pocket repeats IR commands to the concealed DVD player. |
| |
DVD IR remote, RF lighting remote and LCD IR remote. |
| |
Dual Boston Acoustics four-channel amplifiers drive
fourteen speakers and a 12-inch subwoofer. These fan-cooled one-ohm
stable amplifiers are perfect for this application. A vinyl-clad shroud
conceals all amplifier wiring. A carpet-covered birch amplifier rack
houses and conceals multiple components and wiring. The rack is elevated
off the sole of the boat with polymer pads and well secured at both
ends. |
| |

Two circuit breakers for the helm buss and amplifiers.
Two fuses for the halogen lamps and DC to AC inverter. |
| |
Dual batteries and a Perko battery switch. |
| |
Polk
dB Series 12-inch subwoofer under the driver’s helm. An orange
powdercoated aluminum grill follows the hull color and mimics the
tribal flame scheme of the overhead tribal wing. The grill is accented
with a black acrylic trim ring plus brushed and polished aluminum
overlays.
| |
Polk dB 6 ½ -inch box coaxils. |
| |

Speakers
added to the helm console pass-through. Polk coaxils are recesses
in birch bolsters covered in white vinyl and trimmed in black piping.
| |
Each bolster features raised Supra ‘S’ logo. |
| |

Two pair cockpit coaxils
in the combing pockets. |
| |

A six-pack tribal wing suspends
three pair of Polk 6 ¾ -inch oversized coaxils.
The pods are powdercoated in a gloss black. The wing
is powdercoated in orange to accent the hull color, The
wing is also clear-coated to deliver a more vibrant color
and provides long-0term color stability. The wing contains
an internal wiring raceway that virtually eliminates
exposed wiring. The collars are powdercoated black. |
| |

This
triple wing set-up features two additional wings staggered on the
rear rail. These split wings support six black halogen lamps.
| |

Under dash a heat
formed ¼ -inch ABS bracket extends a three-position marine
switch for control of the halogen lamps. |
| |

The factory courtesy light switch maintains control of multiple step
and courtesy lights that we added or replaced.
| |

We
replaced three factory step lights with 5-light orange fixtures that
are concealed in knurled aluminum cover bezels. The bezels are brushed
and clearcoated.
| |
The knurled bezels tie in with the factory trim around
the dash instrumentation. |
| |

Black acrylic trim was
added behind the factory Supra badges. |
| |

Clear acrylic oval diffuser
rings disperse the amber/orange light from behind the
badges. We also changed out the courtesy lights concealed
in the top of the combing pockets with orange LEDs. |
| |

Additional forward aimed
step lights in the bow. |
| |

10-inch acrylic diffuser ring with 72 LEDs illuminate
the subwoofer and grill from within.
| |

Bright LEDs turn the transom
engine compartment vents into red taillights. |
| |

The six tower pods are
fitted with frosted acrylic diffuser rings equipped
with 33 diodes each. |
| |
The sub, six-pack wing, transom vents and Supra badges
lighting are controlled via this radio frequency key fob. |
| |

Just for the boat show, a curved plexiglass mirror
is suspended under the cargo top.
| |
For a different approach, here is another
orange and black Supra, in this case a 22 SSV. This system is about
pure audio and brute force. |

| Six oversized Bullet pods
house JL Audio XR integral component speakers. The XR650s
are perfect for the tower because of the extra midbass
cone surface area and metal dome tweeters. These speakers
really project. /td>
| |
| |
In contrast we used six JL Audio VR600 coaxils down
below in the boat due to their smooth response. It’s an ideal
set up.
Two Boston Acoustics fan-cooled amplifiers (a four-channel GT-42
and two-channel GT-22) drive the single sub and twelve high-pass
speakers. A Boston Acoustics G5 12-inch subwoofer hits with incredible
authority.
Six black powdercoated collars wrap the rear tower rail. The six
oversized Bullet pods are powdercoated orange and clearcoated for
extra pop and long-term color stability. |
