This
black and gray Supra 24 required a neutral color scheme. We
used a swirled silver and black contrasting theme with soft
purple lights. It turned out to be one of the best looking
boats we’ve done.
iPod
cradle with a single plug that provides DC supply, battery
charge and audio interconnect. The control stay with the iPod.
Sirius
marine antenna on the deck cap. A hideaway Sirius tuner is
concealed within the helm console.
The Kenwood source unit auxiliary input was expanded to
facilitate iPod, Sirius satellite radio and DVD soundtrack.
Under
the port locker gul wing cushion we installed a flipdown
LCD TV. The factory shock was replaced with a model providing
10 LBS more capacity.
A DVD player is mounted in a custom amplifier
rack.
Two
fan-cooled Boston Acoustics four-channel amplifiers uniquely
meet the needs of powering fourteen coaxils and a subwoofer.
Key are B.A.’s one-ohm stability and excellent
thermal capacity. The carpet-clad birch amp rack is mounted
against the port side hull and is elevated off the soul with
polymer risers. Only marine-grade materials are used. We
assume the deck will get very wet from time to time. Long
term endurance and reliability are a major part of every
design.
Polk 6 ½ - inch coaxils were custom
installed in the helm concoles passthru. The speakers are
recessed in vinyl-clad bolsters that are trimmed in black
piping.
Bow
coaxils.
Two
pair cockpit coaxils.
A down-firing JL Audio 12-inch subwoofer
and enclosure is mounted under the rear observation seat.
A swirled silver aluminum grill ties in with the overhead
wing finish and numerous other swirled appointments. A stainless
steel mesh is coated in black for contrast.
We added six swirled silver aluminum trim
pieces to the dash. All aluminum trim, grills and wings are
powdercoated with a high gloss clear to eliminate oxidation.
A swirled tribal wing suspends six black
bullet pods. Two brushed aluminum light bars position a total
of twelve black halogen lamps, four front projecting and
eight rear projecting. Both of the brushed aluminum light
bars are clearcoated same as the swirled wing. All four collars
are black powdercoated to match the tower.
Six
LED light rings, twelve halogens and six tower speakers need
only four short wire looms and four collars. Even with an arsenal
of equipment the tower remains clean and absent of unnecessary
clutter.
Purple step lights were added to the bow
as part of the courtesy light package.
The three factory cockpit step
lights were replaced with purple units and aluminum bezels
in a swirled silver finish. The factory courtesy lights
in the cockpit combing pockets were also changed out with
purple lights.
Purple step lights and spacers under the
driver’s console.
Lit up Supra badges in the cockpit combing
pockets.
33 purple diodes on each tower speaker contained
within frosted acrylic diffuser rings.
Underdash switching for halogen lamps and
tower LED lighting.
Illuminated engine compartment
vents for taillight effect. Red diodes are used for greater
brilliance.
An elevated dual-battery system was added providing much more storage space. The twin Optima cycle batteries are dressed with a swirled & clearcoated aluminum panel and trimmed in black acrylic. Two circuit deep-breakers are also flushed in. A protective clear acrylic panel covers all terminals. A battery charger was also added.
A light package was added under the swim deck . Six watertight pucs each containing six ultra-bright LEDs illuminate the water around the transom. A sealed quick disconnect allows removal of the swim deck.
