A demo boat for Marty at Waterski Boats of Dallas. Marty
has a great eye for color in designing his boats and outlining
his system selections. This gives us the best boat to build
on.With each new demo boat we work to improve on the previous
and introduce new creative. |

|
| Starting with the tower which
received six oversized 8-inch pods with separate tweeter
pods, six LED light rings and twelve halogen lamps. The
midbass and tweeter pods are powdercoated in red with clearcoat.
All collars including the cargo top collars are coated
black to disappear into the black tower. The center speakers
and light bars share a double-bolted collar. Fewer collars
create a cleaner look. Custom collars with right angle
extensions allow us to arrange the ideal spacing while
missing the crossbars. The Polk dB series separate component
grills are dyed gloss black (versus the original graphite)
to conform to the red/black theme. The halogen light bars
are red with black lamps, eight rear-facing and four
front-facing. 2 ½ - inch extensions elevate the
light bars above the cargo top and position them more
forward to help clear the tow rope.

|
| Concealed within the rear
observation bench, a Polk down-firing 12-inch subwoofer
vents through a custom grill. The Supra gothic ‘S’ is
featured in the center of a two-color four-piece aluminum
and acrylic fixture with a stainless steel mesh.
This rear grill was built intentionally to be shallow.
| |
|
| |
|
 |
Under the driver’s helm console a second
Polk side-firing 12-inch subwoofer is concealed behind a
carpeted birch façade. The gothic ‘S’ is
enlarged plus we added an elevation ring surrounded by red
vinyl piping. We gave this grill more depth. The front enclosure
and façade are elevated to provide the full original
legroom.
|
| |
|
 |
Concealed within the passenger locker, we
installed two four-channel amplifiers in a custom rack, a
custom battery rack, battery charger and more. |
| |
|
 |
Two blue-top Optima batteries are built into
a carriage with a cover façade. The batteries are
trimmed in a red & clear powdercoated panel which is
backed up by black acrylic. The entire fixture is protected
by a clear acrylic cover panel. |
| |
|
 |
Within the amp rack a removable panel contains
a battery charger, Perko switch and factory helm circuit
breaker. All power distribution is concealed within. The
carpet-clad birch amp rack is elevated off the sole with
polymer spacers. |
| |
|
 |
Large insulated terminals are available for
an emergency jump or to attach a larger power supply/charger. |
| |
|
 |
In the rear port storage compartment an inverted
AC inlet allows EZ access and hook-up for a standard AC extension
cord. This will power the battery charger while in dry storage
or help maintain power when the audio system is played in
the slip. |
| |
|
 |
Two Boston Acoustics one-ohm stereo stable,
fan-cooled amplifiers do a great job of driving fourteen
speakers and two subwoofers. The larger four-channel drives
the six tower component speakers with two channels 1.33 ohm
stereo high-pass. Two channels run two dual-voice-coil twelve-inch
subwoofers low-pass. The smaller four-channel operates eight
combing coaxils two-ohm stereo high-pass. A custom shroud
conceals all cables. |

|
| Two pair Polk dB coaxils
in cockpit combing pockets. Again, all grills are dyed
gloss black to fit the scheme.
| |
|
| |
|
 |
We added addition coaxils to the pass-through
between the helm consoles. The vinyl-clad birch bolsters
feature a raised gothic Supra ‘S’ and are trimmed
in red piping. |
| |
|
 |
Six aluminum trim pieces around the instrument
cluster were converted to red and clear powdercoat to follow
the color scheme. |
| |
|
 |
Underdash iPod mount and connection. The
single connector provides battery recharger, DC power and
audio output. In this version the menu stays on the iPod.
Other options are available where the CD source unit and
remote control will command the iPod. |
| |
|

|
| The factory courtesy lights
were removed and replaced with five-LED red fixtures concealed
behind knurled aluminum cover bezels. The bezels are powdercoated
in red & clear.
| |
|
| |
|

|
| Red LED light bars are installed
into the rear engine compartment vents for a fiery taillight
effect. The entire interior pocket behind the grill received
a reflective treatment so that the indirect-mounted LEDs
illuminate the whole vent.

Courtesy lights added to the bow. |
| |
|

|
The recessed courtesy lights in the combing
pockets were removed and converted to red LED fixtures. Red-lit
clear acrylic diffuser rings behind the Supra badges. Black
acrylic trim was added behind the light rings. |

While this 24 SSV is certainly loaded up with custom appointments,
it adheres to a consistent cosmetic scheme and looks very
classy. Check it out at Waterski Boats of Dallas in Lewisville.
