This M3 kept the factory radio while replacing all the
midrange and high frequency speakers with Boston Acoustics that
were mounted behind the factory grills. A JL Audio subwoofer and
several JL Audio amplifiers are mounted in the trunk.
A one-off fiberglass enclosure houses a JL Audio 10W7
woofer. It is easily removable as part of the design to access
the cars battery.
The M coupe does not come with a spare tire, just an air
pump, which leaves extra depth in the trunk. A sub floor frame
was built to house the two JL amplifiers, cooling fans and air
pump. A false floor with two access panels hides all parts while
giving full use of the trunk.
There is no evidence in the cabin of an upgrade system. But,
this system rocks!
