Earmark is proud to say it has mastered the BMW SRS hard-back headrests. This is a two piece headrest that has a c02 charge that is activated when in an accident and is designed to hold the head forward and prevent the passenger from getting whiplash. When it comes to installing screens in these headreasts, most installers won't touch them. Sometimes you will find that they will build "out" using body filler and other materials so that they don't have to cut into them. While that method works, it isn't ideal. We have come up with a way to mount the screens into the headrests, and still allow the headrests to function as they should.

Earmark mounted the DVD players on the blank panel on the back of the center console and installed a switch for the audio in the center console so it can be heard over the factory system.
Here a rear seat entertainment system was installed.
Earmark uses Alpine headrest screens for their quality and ease of use. Most screens you see installed are mounted with a trim ring around that secures it in the headrest. With this being a soft back headrest we were able to hide the trim ring behind the leather giving a better looking finished system.

So that the kids don't feel the urge to put something other than a DVD in the player it was mounted in the glove box for only the parents to load.

For fun we added a rear game port that connects to the screens and allows rear passengers to plug in and play Playstation or Xbox by plugging in power and AV inputs.
