This spectacular custom look is achieved through
a design that follows a few simple and consistent themes.
We used materials that would stand up to the rigors of a
daily driver.
We emphasized a great sound stage using fewer but high quality
components.
Shown is some of the custom work behind the finished product.
Bent wood and fiberglass is used to achieve three-dimensional
pieces that perfectly mold the amplifier rack and enclosure
into the interior.
The battery location was moved to the rear and
concealed close to the amplifier. This relocation allowed for
a much larger capacity battery. A heavy gauge cable was run
the length of the car from the alternator to the battery. A
custom made bracket provides for a remote battery terminal under
the hood in the event a jump is necessary.
An Alpine indash motorized LCD.
We custom made an Acrylic bezel to trim the radio and house
the factory switches. The color scheme ties in with the exterior
auto finish.
Each door panel received a Boston Acoustics Z series component
speaker. The tweeter is bridge mounted over the midbass driver.
A fiberglass-formed insert contains the speakers and frames
the passive crossover. The custom shape provides the upward
and inward angle for excellent imaging.
Normally
concealed behind the folding rear seat is a JL Audio 500 watt
5 channel amplifier. The vinyl-clad bent wood bezel is perfectly
integrated into the surrounding interior panels.
