The Infiniti SUV audio system features a pair
of Boston Acoustics ‘Z’ component speakers in
the front doors with Boston Acoustics Pros in the rear doors.
JL Audio’s asymmetrical 450 watt four-channel amplifier
delivers greater power to the front stage and lesser power
to the rear fill speakers. A 1000 watt JL Audio Class D monoblock
drives two JL Audio W7 10-inch subwoofers.

All full range speakers are concealed behind the
factory grills for a purely stock appearance.
We maintained the factory source unit, navigation screen
and six-disc indash changer.
The subwoofer enclosure is clad in a black carpet to match
the interior. A black vinyl trim piece covers the top of the
enclosure blending in with the color and texture of the seats.
Not only does the trim tie the enclosure into the surrounding
interior but also the center portion conceals the large mouth
of dual bass-reflex ports.
The enclosure’s compound-angle baffle creates a large
open pocket at the rear of the cargo area. This substantial
cavity provides the back-firing woofers and ports with a compliant
air mass to load into as required for optimum performance.
When the rear passenger seats are folded forward,
two JL Audio amplifiers are exposed. The amps are recessed into
the enclosure and covered by an open-weave cloth that allows
free air flow. Cooling is aided by a gap built into the enclosure’s
top forward edge.
