This Lexus SUV received an undetectable front and rear radar detector plus a front laser jammer.

Beginning with the instrument panel, all alerts are concealed in the cluster. The controls are integrated into the dash in a factory-like manner.

There are no bulky license plate brackets or visible appendages.

This rear view of the instrument cluster shows that the separate front and rear LED’s are inserted into the left and right turn signal indicator arrows. While the turn signals operate identically as before, the turn signal indicators now serve a dual role. The opaque panel totally masks the LED’s until they are activated. Similarly, we oftentimes inject the front and rear LED alerts into factory fiberoptics in order to take advantage of the ideal positioning of factory indicators.

The turn signal arrows illuminate in green when signifying a turn. The arrows illuminate in red when indicating radar. The left arrow represents front detection while the right arrow reflects rear detection.

Separate left and right quarter-size sonic alerts are spaced apart by insertion into the left and center air ducts providing individual localization for front and rear detection.

The dual function volume control and off/ city/ highway switch is mounted in the lower right-hand panel. The dual color status LED for city and highway mode is located in the lower left-hand panel. These small unused panels are replaceable in the event the K40 is removed and transferred to another vehicle. In fact, the entire installation is reversible without evidence.
Overhead view of the front laser diffuser as seen with the hood open. The diffuser is mounted to a custom heat-formed polymer plate which allows us to select attachment points in concealed areas.

The laser diffuser as seen through the front of the grill. Note that the laser receiving camera portion is to the left of the vertical obstruction while the laser jammer transmitting portion is to the right of the obstruction.
Just to the left of the laser device is the front radar antenna which is also secured by a custom heat-formed polymer bracket. The radar antenna is fully concealed from view behind a non-metallic portion of the front bumper which will not impede the detection of radio frequencies in the radar band.

Connecting cables are routinely strain-relieved and secured with clamps.

Up and under to the interior of the rear bumper reveals the rear radar antenna.
The rear antenna connecting cable is grommeted where it passes through the interior body panel. The cable enters the cabin via a factory loom and through the interior of a factory grommet. The penetration is sealed with waterproof marine-grade silicon. The connecting cable is supported and secured by frequently used clamps.
This shows the driver’s side rear plastic bumper shroud that conceals the rear radar antenna.

This stealth install provides many driver benefits:

  • The equipment is totally concealed which deters the “crash and grab” thefts of expensive visor mount detectors.
  • The inconvenience of constantly attaching, plugging in and unplugging of a portable radar unit with every stop and go is eliminated.
  • There’s no unsightly coiled cord obstructing your vision.
  • The controls are more convenient to access and use.
  • The detection and directional alerts are more accurate and informative.
  • The superior protection performance of the K40 radar antennas and laser camera/jammer comes with a ticket-free guarantee!
  • And most important is the comprehensive installation process by EARMARK technicians.
