DRIVEN’ THEATER IN A CORPORATE
TRANSPORT
We installed a KVH TracVision atop this motor coach. This
antenna provides viewing of two individual satellite receivers
simultaneously while in motion from coast-to-coast. With a TracNet
2.0, internet access is available to multiple laptop computers
via wireless links.
In a custom built cabinet below the TV, we installed a multimedia
source unit, DVD player, and VHS player. At the bottom is the
KVH panel with an on/off switch and diagnostic/programming port.
The multi-channel amplification is concealed within the cabinet.
At the cabinet’s base is a concealed subwoofer.
ENTERTAINMENT CENTER
We constructed a large cabinet primarily to house a 32-inch
conventional TV. Also shown are multiple overhead Boston Acoustics
speakers which provide full theater sound. The Direct TV satellite
receiver is atop the cabinet. The ceiling-mounted infrared emitter
sends the audio track to multiple wireless headsets.
Six leather recliners provide the ultimate in comfort. Dual
source wireless headphones allow passengers to privately select
audio or video sound tracks.
Atop the coach the L3 cabling penetrates the hardtop via a
stainless steel watertight gland which is sealed with a marine
compound that will never shrink, crack nor mildew.
